1. Students will need to know for the SS quiz on Tuesday December 3
- describe and give examples of the following terms: region, landform, research, identity, natural resources, vegetation.
- label the regions on a map
2. Students will need to know for the Math quiz on Wednesday, December 4
- order numbers, standard and expanded form, even and odd numbers

** Bring bottle caps and popsicle sticks on Monday

- Please bring milk or water bottle caps and small popsicle sticks
- We will have a Social Studies quiz next week.  Students will need to know the names of the Alberta regions and where they are on a map. 
- Deck the Halls tomorrow with our Grade 1 buddies.  Feel free to wear an ugly Christmas sweater, red and green or a Christmas hat. 
- Facial Hair Friday tomorrow.

- Ask me what the name of our novel is. 
- Math practice:
On a farm there were 11 animals in a pen, some were ducks and some were pigs.  There were 28 legs.  How many were ducks and how many were pigs. 
**Please let me show you how to figure out this math problem

Next week we will be learning:

Language Arts:
- we will be starting a new novel study with Ms Blanchard
- we will continue spelling, new spelling words will come home on Monday
Mathematics
- we will continue with comparing and ordering number and learn some games with Ms Blanchard
Social
- we will research the Parkland region on Tuesday
Science
- we will reflect on our complex machines that we made
Health
- we will begin talking about emotions with Ms Blanchard
French
- we will continue to practice greetings, weather, days of the week and numbers

- we had our second day of Inline Skating today.  Our final day will be on Monday, November 25th.
- Half day tomorrow!

We will have another Book Fair Purchase day on Wednesday morning.  Students can bring money at this time.

Our class has IN- LINE skating Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and on the 25th!!!  Bring Helmets!!!

Please sign up for conferences this Thursday evening and Friday morning.  This is a time for the student's to show you their work and for parents to ask Ms Vroom any questions about their child's learning.
