Happy Monday Grade Four Families,

Please keep an eye out for an email from me this afternoon outlining some of the next steps for learning adventures. 

I will also be phoning students over the next couple of days to check in and respond to any questions from the email. 

You are missed at school but we are really excited about what lies ahead for us, and we will be sharing details with you through this coming week.

Happy Spring Break Grade 4's!

 I hope you are enjoying this time with your families!  Evelyn, Charles and I have been busy learning from home for the past two weeks and spending some amazing time together.  Here are a few photos all of the excitement in our home and how these two can learn from every day activities!

Hello wonderful students and families!  

I just wanted to send you all a quick note to say hello and I miss all of you so very much.  The classroom is not the same without you all! 

I hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break next week.  School will be closed for Spring Break but we will update you as soon as we know more information for after the break. 

Feel free to send me an email or some photos of what you have been up to.  I hope you are able to spend some time outside.  Today I played snow soccer with Evelyn and Charles (see the photo below).

Wednesday, March 11th 

* Ask me what FACTS we learned about the Coronavirus today
* We had our Science Test today
* We are watching Wonder tomorrow

Important Dates:

* Dress as your favourite book character on Friday, March 13th
* Conferences next Thursday, March 19th and Friday, March 20th
* Half day on Thursday March 19th

March 9- 13th 

This week we will be:

Language Arts - Guided Reading, we will finish Wonder and watch the Wonder movie on Thursday.  We are learning a sentence writing game this week.  The Read- A- Thon started today and we stopped, dropped and read as a school. 

Math - We stated multiplication

Social - We got our Historian Journals today.  We will have the Museo Kit about Fur Traders for two weeks to look at artifacts.  We will also continue to work with Ms Wajda and looking at pictures of the past and making inferences and asking questions

Science - We have a QUIZ on Light and Shadow on Wednesday.  We will finish our kaleidoscopes.

March 2- 6th, 2020

This week we will be learning:

Literacy:  Guided Reading with Ms Blanchard and Mrs Vroom, literacy centres (non- fiction comprehension about bullying, spelling, cursive writing, visiting the learning commons, making connections and predictions and tasks from guided reading).  We will continue to read Wonder and will be watching the Movie next week. 

Social:  We had our last day with Blackfoot research using the ipads and completed a checklist showing the chapters we completed, we will work with Ms Wajda on Wednesday. 

Science: We are sill looking for a lot more paper towel rolls so we can make kaleidoscopes on Thursday.  We will begin to review light and shadow and have a quiz next week. 

Math:  We reviewed word problems and CUBES.  We will have an addition and subtraction quiz on Thursday!! 

Art:  Wonder Art on Tuesday!

Health:  We learned what Upstanders are.  We will be adding 10 Mindful Minutes to each day this week!
